Rochester, NY resident, Robert Charles Meadows III, 75, died at Strong Memorial Hospital on September 7th, 2012 at 1:30pm.

At his request, no service will be held, however, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated in his honor at Blessed Kateri Parish at St. Margaret Mary Church in Irondequoit 401 Rogers Pkwy at a future date.
Robert “Bob” Meadows was born September 18th, 1936 in Pontiac, Michigan to Robert Charles Meadows, Jr and Veronica Mary Frances Zapatka.

Bob, a graduate of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, remained a student for the duration of his life as he learned how to give the gift of opportunity and the gift of music to all he encountered. Though he acquired the adoration and respect of many musicians, teachers, and performers due to his skill as a pianist and accompanist, his most known gifting was his ability to give generously. Along with others, Bob founded A Magical Journey Thru Stages, an independent charitable theater organization which raised thousands for local charities as well as giving many performing artists an opportunity to grow and acquire the skills needed to continue in the arts professionally.

Bob also shared his gift of music with many other local bands, theater organizations, schools and churches. He was most known for over thirty years of service to School of the Arts and St Margaret Mary in Irondequoit.

Bob treated his students and friends as intimate family, entertaining all with his knowledge as a restaurant connoisseur. He gave countless hours of time to simple fellowship, thousands of dollars in tools, instruments and books to further the quality of the organizations he worked with and the quality of the performances of the students he loved and fathered.

Though Bob has not left behind any biological children, he has left a legacy and a mandate branded on the hearts of those who intimately knew him and found themselves on the other side of his giving hand: to follow God’s leading to give in the same way that they were the recipients of Bob’s great gifts which had no strings attached.

Bob was predeceased by his brother: MSGT Wayman V. Todd - deceased (deceased wife - Gerri K Todd). He left his sisters: Sylvia Ann Meadows (husband Rosario Joseph Pappalardo), Carolyn Sue Barhite (deceased husband - Howard Dennis Barhite), two nieces and five nephews.
A scholarship will also be created in his honor and memory through School of the Arts (; donations will be accepted through this organization.

Thank you for the music, Bob.
